What a complete pleasure to play for Pat & Nicky’s party at Darwin Lake. We have been in communication since 2019 (when the party was originally scheduled) and the pair had the BEST time. Having some fun singing Lewis Capaldi!

23/10/2020

Joined by my twin for a beautiful piano ballad version of this song. Two live vocal takes.

29/09/2020

Vocal cover.

Just a beautiful tune. I can't wait until I'm able to get out performing this on my guitar again!

Amazing One Take Recording of Times Like These in an acoustic style!

Enjoy the latest of my 'Lockdown Live' recordings. I'm delighted to be joined by a special guest performer this week, the fantastic Simon Rudd on guitar! You asked for it (!) so we made it happen.

Remember that the 'lockdown live' performances are recorded as one continuous live take, the video editing is done afterwards!

Please like, share, subscribe and stay safe.

Here's the latest in my 'Lockdown' series!

You might notice that I've cheated slightly this week and this one isn't live!

As part of the performance service that we offer to clients I offer the option to record a special song, for example a wedding couple's first dance song, as a memento to keep forever to remember their day! A wedding client from two years ago approached me recently to ask if I was willing to record her first dance song posthumously as an anniversary gift for her husband! I have taken the opportunity to update the package (so that it's no longer a 'first dance CD, but is now instead a first dance digital recording and video package)! Evidently, the video could include a special message or dedication; however that didn't seem appropriate to publish online!

Remember to like the band's Facebook page so that you don't miss next week's edition!

Hope you enjoy! Greg x

25/07/2020

Here's the latest in our 'Lockdown Live' series!

This one was a request from Richard and Kelly (we would have been performing at their wedding today!). It has a lovely sentiment and they wanted us to play this song because, after all the craziness and despite everything that's gone on, they just want to have their wedding! We look forward to celebrating with them in 2021!

Remember to like and subscribe to our Facebook and YouTube pages so that you don't miss next week's edition.

Hope you enjoy! Greg x

Here's the latest in the 'Lockdown Live' video series.

This weekend myself and the band would have been performing for Emma and Graham's wedding and they set me the challenge of performing an acoustic guitar cover of this Marvin Gaye classic!

If I'd left myself a little more time to do it (!) I would probably have arranged it for one guitar. However, I opted to pull in the guitar talents of my (much more handsome) twin brother.... erm (ha ha!!).

Hope you enjoy, see you again next week! Greg x

10/07/2020

Here's the latest in our 'Lockdown Live' series! This one features the three piece band, all from the comfort of our own homes!

This weekend The Greg Bish Blueprint would have been performing at Julie's party. She didn't specifically have a song request for me, but as it's been a bit of a glum week (in terms of the weather) we thought we'd perform something uplifting!

We look forward to performing at Julie's party in 2021!

Remember to like and subscribe to our page so that you don't miss next week's edition.

Stay safe, Greg x

26/06/2020

It's Friday (!) so it must be time for the next instalment of my 'Lockdown Live' Series!

This weekend myself and the boys would have been performing at Kim and Will's wedding. I've taken a request from them and they said they would like to hear me perform Elvis' classic track 'Can't Help Falling in Love'. As it's a song that has been covered so many times (!) I have taken a few liberties with the arrangement to try and come up with something that sounds a little more unique than a straight arpeggio backing. I'm pretty happy with the result and I hope that you like it to?

I'd like to wish Kim & Will a Happy 'Minimony' for Saturday (this seems to be the term adopted on the internet for those celebrating their original postponed wedding date)! We look forward to celebrating with you in the flesh in 2021. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy this little performance.

Keep your eyes peeled for my next rendition, I have several videos coming to you in July. If you've enjoyed the video, and have committed to reading this far in the post (!), then please hit subscribe on the youtube video so that you don't miss any future Lockdown Live performances!

Stay safe, Greg x

19/06/2020

Hi everyone,

Little Lion Man (written by Mumford and Sons) is the latest cover in my 'Lockdown Live' series of videos. The videos are primarily shot in the barn and are recorded as one live performance take. Tonight I would have been playing an acoustic solo set at The Garrison so this is dedicated to all who would have made the trip out to see me perform, I will hopefully see you later in the year!

Keep your eyes peeled for next weeks rendition. If you've enjoyed the video then please give the page a like so that you don't miss a thing!

Stay safe, Greg

05/06/2020

The latest in my series of 'Lockdown Live' covers has just gone live on Youtube.

This weekend we would have been performing at Pat & Nicky's party. They requested if I would perform Paradise by George Ezra so here it is!

Thanks for checking in. Greg

30/05/2020

Hi all,

Another weekend.. another song release and this is a BIG ONE!! This week's offering features Greg singing Castle on the Hill... with non-other than British music legend, Ed Sheeran!

You may remember that I am aiming to get some new content uploaded at weekends, when I would have been out performing. This weekend, I would have been performing at Abby and Sarah's wedding. Unfortunately, I am a bit sad about this event in particular as it is one of the very few COVID-19 affected events where the band could not accommodate the couple's rescheduled 2021 date. Evidently, we get to know our wedding clients really well during the planning process and we also get very excited about performing at their big day, so I am disappointed that we won't be able to celebrate with them in 2021. However, I wish them all the best for their big day and I'm sure that they will have a fantastic time!

So.. to help cheer me up this weekend, I headed over to smule and recorded my latest lockdown video with one of the world's best selling music artists, Ed Sheeran!!

It was my first time on smule and it was a lot of fun - let me know if there are any other stars that you would like to see me duet with and I'll see what I can do!

Enjoy! Greg

18/05/2020

Hi everyone,

During lockdown I am aiming to get some new content uploaded at weekends when I would have been out performing (particularly if it was a public gig!). Sorry this one is a little late - I ran into all sorts of technical difficulties (the main one being that I kept knocking out the power to the barn when trying to shoot my bit of the lockdown video!) - I worked out it was the disco lights, so these haven't made it into the final cut!

We would have been performing at The Garrison on Saturday night, which is always a lot of fun. As a result, Adrian, Dom and I thought we'd post a lively lockdown cover of 'Don't Stop Believin' from home!

Hope you enjoy!

26/04/2020

This weekend I should have been performing in Bingley for a lovely event ('Music to Heal the Brain'), raising money for The Encephalitis Society.

With the event being postponed (like all of my performance events at the moment!) I thought I would take the time to shoot a quick video of a beautiful song by Robyn which is likely have made it into my set!

Stay safe, Greg x

15/04/2020

Dear all,

I hope that everyone is keeping safe (and staying at home as much as possible) during these truly bizarre and uncertain times.

With the PM's decision to cancel all weddings, baptisms and public gatherings for the foreseeable future; all of my April, May and June event dates have now been rescheduled. With this in mind I wanted to touch base with all my clients to let you know that WE WOULD STILL LOVE TO BE YOUR WEDDING/FUNCTION BAND (!).

We get excited and emotionally invested in the events that we perform at and we will do our very best to accommodate any change of date and postponement. We want to work with you at this difficult time. However, do please keep us informed and liaise with us regarding any change of date. 2021 is shaping up to be a VERY busy year with the usual new bookings coming in and most summer 2020 bookings being pushed back to 2021.

If I could offer some advice, if you are looking at the possibility of rescheduling your event to 2021 then try to get a selection of dates from your venue – including some mid-week dates – as this increases the possibility of bringing together the same team of suppliers to perform at your event. Start speaking to venues and suppliers early and keep in contact to ensure that you are able to get a new date to align for all involved!

For newly engaged couples and those looking to book the perfect band/venue/photographer for your new event in 2021 I would urge you to look early and get your suppliers booked in for your perfect 2021 event ASAP. It is going to be an incredibly busy year for most wedding and event suppliers, such as ourselves, so do work with us to find the perfect date and package for your special day!

Keep well, be strong and stay in contact! Greg x

12/02/2020

Looking forward to performing at The Garrison on Friday. If you're coming down with someone special then be sure to let me know if you've got any Valentine's Day requests!

The Greg Bish Blueprint had a wonderful time at Amy and Jake's Wedding in North Yorkshire last weekend. There were lots of lovely little personal touches throughout the day, which I hope I have given a flavour of in the slideshow on our facebook page. A special mention should go to Nabs Nosh who catered some extremely tasty food! Enjoy!

It was a pleasure to play at Jan's retirement do last weekend! The three piece band enjoyed some wonderful pie (!) from Geoff and the catering team and were touched by the moving speeches. We then kept everyone dancing into the small hours with classic and modern hits.

28/05/19

The 3 Piece Band had a brilliant time performing for Sara's 60th Party on Saturday Night. The hosts daughter played some exquisite classical music with her clarinet trio to start the evenings proceedings. Zest Catering provided a sumptuous cold buffet and we set the evening off with dancing, singing and party music. We very much enjoyed the view from the marquee as the sunset over Cromford. A mild night, perfect for some great dancing!

Check out our facebook page for pics and more information!

07/07/18

The Sheffield Wedding Band travelled the short distance to Losehill House in the Peak District for this weekends wedding. The weather was glorious and it was a pleasure to help Nicola & James celebrate their special day! OMG Celebration Hire also did a fantastic job with their awesome Mirror Photo Booth.

08/04/18

It was great to get the 2018 wedding season kicked off in style this week! Leanne and Matt wanted a 'low key affair' so opted for a Wednesday wedding with the reception being held at The Church House Pub in Sheffield. However, with oodles of charm and exclusive use of the venue they ended up with a characterful venue full of their friends and family. Tasty pizza was provided from The Nether Edge Pizza Co and The Blueprint performed 2 party sets as the three piece outfit. Everyone partied away into the (very!) wee hours and Greg finished DJing at 1:00; however, Andrew (from the Church House) took over on the venue's house speakers from there and guests continued dancing past 1:30! A great way to start 2018 and an interesting choice of venue for those seeking something less formal (and with a late bar!). Many congratulations Leanne & Matt.

08/04/18

25/07/17

Thanks for checking out gregbish.com! Last weekend Greg performed for Jess & Alex at a private venue just outside Doncaster. The day was expertly organised by Wedding Coordinator - Sophie Jackson - who ensured that everything ran smoothly and the groom provided a couple of really nice personal touches - such as bespoke writing on the dance-floor - using his graphic design talents. Greg ensured that the entertainment ran smoothly for the day: providing a wireless mic for speeches, an individual acoustic performance of Clapton's 'Wonderful Tonight' for the couples first dance followed by an hour long acoustic set to ease the guests into the evening before DJing into the small hours!

23/06/17

The Wedding Band received a lovely email from Jacob Webster earlier this week. We travelled down to the gorgeous Thrumpton Hall (Nottinghamshire) to perform for Jake & Sarah's wedding at the beginning of this month and enjoyed the opportunity to bring some of our bigger equipment - performing as a five piece band to a packed dance floor all evening! In his email Jacob says:

"Just a quick e-mail to thank you and your band for putting on an excellent show at our wedding. You guys were perfect. Everyone we spoke to had a great time and the dance floor was booming on into the night just as we had hoped it would. Thanks for your professionalism, good communication before the day and fantastic skills on the day."

29/05/17

The wedding band travelled to Lincolshire to perform for the second time at the beautiful Moot Hall in Holton-Le-Moor. The venue, although relatively small, has bags of character and was beautifully decorated by Chloe & Will and their friends and family - truly a wonderful venue to celebrate their wedding. Chloe and Will had a lovely blessing in the afternoon where friends and family performed music and read poetry followed by a 'Country Fete' in the gardens with Drinks and Games such as 'Splat the Rat', a 'Coconut Shy' and a 'Welly Wang'! The guests (and wedding band!) had great fun in the evening with non stop dancing and a guest appearance from guest Gareth being particular highlights!

04/05/17

Many congratulations go to James & Lee Anne who celebrated their special day in style at the weekend in a marquee/private residence. They had organised lots of unique touches for the day - such as the bespoke newlywed bouncy castle (!) - and a first dance performance of Walk the Moon's lively modern classic 'Shut Up and Dance'. James, Lee Anne and their guests then danced the night away to a DJ set which Greg crafted specifically out of songs suggested by the wedding party! Great fun was had by all!

25/04/17

Thanks for checking in with The Greg Bish Blueprint Wedding & Function Band please take a little time to browse our site and listen to some audio clips! Although summer is shaping up to be very busy we do still have a few dates available for 2017. We are also taking bookings for 2018 so do get in contact if there is anything you would like to discuss regarding your special day!

05/01/17

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you for considering The Greg Bish Blueprint Wedding & Function Band as your event entertainment. Feel free to browse our website, listen to audio clips and - if you wish - you can easily email Greg for a no-obligation quote for your wedding or function.

25/10/16

I just received a lovely email from Emilie that I thought I would share with you all. It features some kind words about her wedding this summer:

"Hi Greg!

Hope you are well. I just wanted to say a massive Thankyou for making our wedding day so special and personal. We absolutely loved all of the music and were very grateful you learnt the songs for our first dance and walking down the aisle! We can't Thankyou enough and will definately be recommending you to family and friends."

26/08/16

Phew!! As the wedding season is starting to draw to a close The GB Blueprint- the South Yorkshire wedding band - are able to stop for a breath and update you as to what we have been up to. Throughout August we have been performing an average of two events a week - primarily weddings but also a birthday party and Hallam Grange's bowls club anniversary event! There are too many events to go through individually but in short the band have performed in weddings as far afield as Scarborough & Lincolnshire with diverse line ups including a set with a Rat Pack Singer, Singing Waiters, DJ events and a huge function event with an 8 piece line up.

I would like to pass my congratulations to all the bride & grooms who have booked The GB Blueprint - Sheffield wedding band - as your wedding entertainment throughout 2016. It really is a pleasure to be a part of so many special days and we are always delighted to send the party off with a bang!

31/05/16

It's been a wonderful start to the wedding season this year and The Wedding Band have been privileged to be a part of several special days already.

I would like to wish our congratulations to Andy and Ali who had a stupendous party featuring loads of singing along by their guests. My personal favourite moment was the dancing to the YMCA, where one audience member managed to spell out the words to the song with their legs!!!

Clive and Jane had a fabulous day and set the band the difficult task of performing an acoustic version of the classic Foo Fighter's song 'Everlong' as the couples first dance. They were thrilled with the result and it set a great tone to the evening celebrations!

Also, the weather held strong for Zoe and Mark's marquee wedding this Bank Holiday Monday at the striking Aston Hall and the couple had a spectacular day, featuring a terrific live performance of John Legend's classic hit 'All of Me' by Greg and Adrian to start the band sets.

03/01/16

Happy New Year! The Greg Bish Blueprint, wedding band, have been fortunate enough to end 2015 with some excellent wedding celebrations across Yorkshire. The most recent being for Stacey and Henry who wed at the exquisite Wentworth Woodhouse Country House, near Rotherham. With it's Marble Ballroom and several reception rooms Wentworth Woodhouse made a very grand winter wedding venue. Stacey was thrilled with the bands service and emailed to say "the music was brilliant which made for a good night for all and many people said how much they enjoyed the live music!"

10/08/15

On August 1st The wedding band were delighted to be invited to celebrate the wedding of Louise and Matt. Greg performed some bespoke choices of music throughout the ceremony at the gorgeous Ecclesall Woods JG Graves Woodland Discovery Centre. This is a beautiful choice of venue if you would like an outdoor ceremony - even with the option of getting married undercover but looking out onto ponds and woodland behind, with the open countryside behind the centre.

Then for the evening we moved site to The Cricket Inn, Dore. This is a venue who have not been hosting weddings for a long period of time. However, their service and food were both exquisite and they included some great personal touches (such as bespoke wall designs). Overall a great intimate venue for a small wedding.

Louise and Matt were thrilled with the function band and emailed very promptly to say:

"I just wanted to thank you again for all of our music.

You were absolutely fantastic from the ceremony to the rowdy dancing at the end! :) All of our guests commented repeatedly about how good you were and we had such a fantastic time. You managed to get the eclectic mix we wanted absolutely perfect and that meant everyone enjoyed it. We couldn't have asked for anything more, and we appreciated all the little extras too.

Thank you so much! We may need to organise a party now just so we can book you again!"

28/07/2015

Vickie has taken the time to email to say thanks for the function bands performance at her wedding in Losehill House earlier this Summer...

"I just wanted to send you a note to say a massive thank you from myself and Adam for your performance at our wedding. The day was everything we wanted it to be and EVERYONE(!!) commented on how great you guys were! I really think a live band in that small a venue really helps to bring things alive! We couldn’t have been happier with the overall service and professionalism from you since the start of our communication so truly thank you, for contributing to our perfect day"

27/07/2015

On Saturday The Greg Bish Blueprint (Wedding band) were delighted to be a part of Becky and Joe's big day!

The weather was beautiful and Becky and Joe had a few beautiful original touches to their day including a sweet table with personalised love heart packets (including their names and wedding date embossed on the front of the packet) and some wonderful music from The Sheffield String Quartet for wedding drinks.

Becky and Joe booked the ultimate party band as a three piece line up for the evening reception, as they already had a resident DJ included in their package from Tankersley Manor, and the bride and groom and all their guests commented on how special the live music had made their day.

25/07/2015

It was a real pleasure to be a part of Kathryn and Rob's wedding this week. The bride and groom had some beautiful touches to the day including: gorgeous bunting, various outdoor activities to keep their guests occupied, hay bales for the outdoor ceremony seating and even flip flops to help sore feet dance the night away!!! Thanks for choosing The Greg Bish Blueprint Wedding & Function Band as your entertainment!

23/07/2015

Some more nice words - this time from Clare who's wedding we performed at the weekend .... "Thanks for doing a fab job last night, lots of people commented on how great you were!"

19/07/2015

Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Gatward. We really enjoyed celebrating your wedding with you this Saturday.

03/07/2015

This weekend's wedding was a stunningly sunny day for Jon and Caroline. The wedding band entertained until the small hours with one of our most popular wedding packages; 2 x 45 minute band sets + DJ services. A brilliant day all round!

24/06/2015

It is really sweet that Jo and John took time out of their honeymoon to email and thank us for providing the musical entertainment at their wedding. Jo said: " John and I both wanted to say a huge thank you for all of your efforts yesterday. We had an amazing day and our guests have been raving about the music, thank you, thank you!"

21/06/2015

Congratulations Jo & John, who got married on Saturday. Greg and Doug performed various acoustic guitar & voice performances - for the ceremony, wedding drinks and also the meal - and then the wedding band entertained the bride and grooms guests with two sets in the barn and a final acoustic set around the campfire to round off the day.

14/04/2015

Greg just received a nice email from James and Kay thanking the wedding band for their performance at the weekend:

"Just to say a big thank you to you and your band for Friday. Everyone had a great time and there were loads of our guests commenting on how good the band was. We'll definitely be passing your name on if anyone else is after a band."

12/04/2015

Congratulations to Kay & James who got married at the gorgeous Adlington Hall on Friday. The function band travelled across the beautiful Peak District for a wedding performance in Chester. James, Kay and their guests danced away into the small hours enjoying the wedding bands great sets and special arrangement of John Legends modern classic 'All of Me' for the bride and grooms first dance.

09/03/2015

On Friday night The GB Blueprint performed for the NHS Star Awards 2015.

This event celebrates the fantastic achievements and levels of care provided by our local Sheffield Children's Hospital and the Function Band were very pleased to be invited back again this year to help the proceedings go off with a bang. The celebrations took place in the spacious Sheffield United Platinum Suite and awards were given out by Sheffield United's number 1 keeper Mark Howard to the delight of the guests.

The Greg Bish Blueprint provided entertainment through to the small hours and many of the guests did not sit down all night!!! Event orgainser Alaistair emailed to say "The Blueprint were fantastic and think that was the busiest the dance floor has ever been. Also, your help and flexibility with setting up was invaluable!".

22/01/2015

Some lovely words from Rebecca about The Greg Bish Blueprint's (South Yorkshire Wedding Band) 4 Piece performance at her wedding in December 2014:

"We booked The Greg Bish Blueprint for our wedding in December. Greg was very flexible and gave us multiple options for the size of band and length and number of sets. We were given the opportunity to specify music and artists that we would like to include or leave out of the playlist. Greg and his team liaised directly with the reception venue to organise setting up etc which made our lives much easier. The band were fabulous on the day and many of guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music, they kept everybody up and dancing right until the end of the night. They played a beautiful arrangement of our first dance song which we loved. Overall we were absolutely delighted with Greg and his band and would certainly recommend them to anybody needing a band for a special occasion."

13/01/2015

Getting the New Year off to a bang the Blueprint (Sheffield Wedding Band) travelled the short distance to Wortley Hall in North Sheffield to help Matt and Keeley celebrate their wedding day.

The weather was fantastic for a January wedding and sunny and dry conditions allowed Matt and Keeley to have lots of photos taken outside in Wortley Hall's beautiful Gardens in the afternoon. The band then saw the evening out in style - beginning with a bespoke arrangement of The Lumineer's 'Ho Hey' for the bride and groom's first dance together as man and wife.

Matt and Keeley are friends of ours and it is always a pleasure to be able to use your talents to help your friends celebrate their wedding day!

27/12/2014

Merry Christmas Everybody!! We hope you have had a fantastic Christmas break.

Last weekend the Greg Bish Blueprint performed at The University of Sheffield's Firth Court for Bex and Alan's Yuletide Wedding. The venue is well worth a look for anybody interested in a relatively central Sheffield Wedding - it has been recently renovated with top quality mood lighting, PA system and acoustic treatment alongside it's already stunning architecture and grandeur.

The Sheffield Wedding Band arranged and performed the Actic monkeys modern classic track 'I Wanna Be Yours' for Bex and Alan's first dance and the bride and groom were thrilled with the arrangement. Bex and Alan decided to book the four piece function band without DJ to cut down on costs. They said to Greg on the night that having live music was an absolute key criteria for their wedding and they were grateful for Greg's advice while booking, which enabled them to find a package which was just what they wanted but still within their budget! Alan went on to say that the wedding band had "exceeded all our expectations"!

It's been a great (and very busy) end to the 2014 season with a few lovely gigs to round off the year. On Sat 1st November Greg travelled to Wood Lane Countryside Centre, a lovely little venue in Stannington, to perform at Louise and Jason's wedding. They had decorated the room beautifully and loved singing and dancing the night away to Greg's Solo (acoustic guitar & voice) performance and DJ skills!

Last weekend the five piece function band arrived at The Millennium Gallery (surely one of Sheffield's most popular event venues) to perform for M3's Christmas/Anniversary party. There was lots of great food, an auction, casino tables and dancing fun to be had by all. The Greg Bish Blueprint Function Band particularly enjoyed performing a few Cheesy Christmas songs to keep the crowds entertained!

The Greg Bish Function Band have just received a lovely email from Diane thanking us for her musical entertainment at the end of August. It's always a great pleasure to be a part of someone's special day and we are always very grateful for people taking the time to say thanks to us for being there too! Please read some of her comments below:

"Just want to say a big thank you to you and your band for an unforgettable wedding evening reception. Everyone had such a fantastic time.

I really appreciated your advice when organising the evening and your suggestion to have a 3 piece acoustic band, it really worked well.

I have had so many people ask me for your band name and lots of comments of how good you were.

We had such a great evening and so did our family and friends, the only shame was that the time went so quickly!

Thank you so much."

On Saturday 6th September The Blueprint traveled to Nottingham to provide a musical performance for Phil and Laura's wedding.

The venue (The New Art Exchange) provided a unique backdrop to the wedding with ample time allowed for the members of the wedding party to browse the exhibits and different rooms as the sun began to set.

To start the evening reception Phil and Laura had asked Greg for a bespoke arrangement of one of their favourite songs That's What's Up by Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros and Greg, and his South Yorkshire Wedding Band, were happy to oblige- kicking the evening off in style with a fun and original arrangement.

To help keep costs to a minimum The Greg Bish Blueprint performed this function as a three piece band, which is a great option if you would love to have a band at your event but are concerned about spiraling costs!

The Sheffield Wedding Band helped to celebrate Diane and David's wedding with them on Saturday night this week.

The Greg Bish Blueprint Function Band always work closely with any event organisers (in this case Diane & David) to come up with a musical package which is perfect for their needs and we all decided that the best option for this event - in terms of both ambience and space - was to provide the band sets on acoustic guitars and a stripped down drum kit, the band sets being interspersed with DJ sets. This (smaller set-up) enabled the wedding band to start the evening off in a relaxed style, with beautiful stripped-back renditions of classic ballads at the beginning of the evening - and as the sun set the band and DJ livened things up to create a great party atmosphere!

It was a great evening and there was much dancing, some great air guitar playing (!) and a tasty hog roast.

The Greg Bish Blueprint Wedding Band performed at Tim and Sarah's wedding yesterday.

Tim and Sarah enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea, complete with scones and vintage crockery, followed by a sumptuous acoustic set performed by Greg in the late afternoon. To start the evening off everybody enjoyed a fish & chip tea (from the travelling van) and the evening reception was sent off in style by two band sets and a DJ service until 12:00. The band sets went down especially well with all guests, who danced the night away to some classic tracks.

Still considering entertainment for your wedding? Here are some lovely words sent through from Kim after the function bands performance at her wedding in the peak district in 2014:

"Hello,

A little late but just getting organised post wedding and wanted to say a MASSIVE thank you to you all!

You and your band were incredible on 24th May and we can't thank you enough for making the music so fab!

Everyone had an amazing time and we have had no end of comments from family and friends on just how good the music was. You really did cater for everyone and every generation danced the night away!

Thank you so much for helping to make our day perfect - your song choices really were just spot on and hearing 'Hey Jude' will always bring back brilliant memories.

You guys rocked."

Another great wedding at the weekend and our congratulations go to Chris and Jess who had a beautiful day!

26/07/14

It was a pleasure to play at Oliver and Kalie's wedding on Saturday at The Crookes Social Club. The venue was decorated beautifully with some excellent buffet food provided by local caterers and fun was had by all as Greg DJed through until 1:00am!

21/07/14

At the weekend The Wedding Band travelled to perform for Tim and Laura's wedding in a beautiful marquee on private grounds in Bunbury, Cheshire. This was a fantastic and unique gig with the Blueprint function band going out under our full soul line up (that's voice, keys, guitar, bass, drums, trumpet and two saxophones!). This instrument combination enables us to play a wide - and funky! - variety of music. If you are interested in finding out more about this option then visit the 'soul band link'.

30/06/14

The Greg Bish Blueprint Wedding Band travelled outside of our normal catchment area of Yorkshire & Sheffield this weekend to perform at Kat and Sandy's wedding in Grittleton House, which is in Wiltshire (near Bath!). Kat and Sandy saw the function band perform at Sandy's brother, Rowland's, wedding last year and had to have us!!! They were not disappointed and the guests danced the night away to the band and DJ into the wee hours.

16/06/14

The Greg Bish Blueprint (Function and Wedding Band) travelled into the heart of Derbyshire for Nikki and Richard's beautifully elegant wedding at Losehill House Hotel & Spa last Friday. The ceremony took place in the Orangery with gorgeous views of the Hope Valley all around and Greg provided a lovely backdrop of classical guitar music. Adrian then performed light Jazz piano to accompany the wedding drinks and canapes before the band struck up to send off the evening reception in style!

11/06/14

It was a pleasure to perform this weekend for the wedding of Henry and Georgia. The lovely couple took the whole day in their stride and we were all very happy that the predicted thunder storms didn't come!!! Instead there was glorious sunshine. The Greg Bish Blueprint (Wedding and Function Band) enjoyed the opportunity to bring down our bigger equipment rig (!) to perform for the evening reception. Greg also arrived earlier in the day to perform classical guitar for the ceremony and wedding drinks.

28/05/14

We had a lovely time performing for Kim and Andy's wedding at the weekend (as the standard four piece function band + DJ). The venue was the Ashford War Memorial Institute, which was a grand building similar to a Village Hall in the heart of Ashford in the Water. A, very tasty (!), evening hog roast was provided by Heatherhill Farm Meats and the Greg Bish Blueprint Wedding Band ensured that the people in this little 'chocolate box' Derbyshire village were up and dancing all night!

Looking for a band for your wedding or event in Sheffield or South Yorkshire? Here are some lovely things that people have said about The Greg Bish Blueprint (Wedding and Function Band) in the last couple of weeks:

"Thank you (and the band) so much for all your efforts at our wedding. You were absolutely outstanding and so many people came up to us on the day and said how wonderful you were both during the ceremony/wedding breakfast and in the evening. The band sets were phenomenal, with so many people dancing and having a great time. You played lots of the music we requested/suggested during the DJ set and we thank you for that. We would not hesitate to recommend you!" James Nuttall (Wedding booking)

"A huge thank you to you and the band for such a brilliant set on Saturday night. I have heard so many great comments from other guests about the music. It was perfect and you made our night extra special!" Gill Saywell (Colin's 60th Birthday Party)

"Thanks so much again for dad's party, it was just fantastic. Mum and dad got loads of thank you cards from their friends after the party, and they all mentioned how fantastic the band was!" Chloe Saywell (Colin's 60th Birthday Party)

"Awesome band and an amazing evening for my besties dad's 60th! Served dinner to over 80 people... #dreamteam" Rebecca Walden (Colin's 60th Birthday Party)

07/05/14

What a great start to the summer season it has been! We had a riot at Lee and Tracy's wedding and a large wedding reception, filled with music enthusiasts, danced the night away on April 26th at Wortley Hall.

Also, last weekend we performed for Colin's 60th birthday party. The venue was a beautiful old building called the Moot Hall in Lincolnshire and we were treated to a wonderful three course meal from Gill, Chloe and the team who put the party together! Again, the dance-floor was packed all evening and it was a pleasure to be a part of their special day!

25/04/14

April has started with a bang this year and it's been a great pleasure to have performed at some lovely weddings already.

On Sat April 12th The Greg Bish Wedding and Function Band provided entertainment for the ceremony (Classical Guitar), Meal (Acoustic Solo) and Wedding Reception (Band & DJ) at James and Alex's beautiful wedding held at Wortley Hall, North Sheffield. It was a great day and James & Alex had a fantastic time.

Also, last weekend, I (Greg) found myself DJing for my sister-in-laws wedding at the beautiful Sussex Barns in Norfolk. It was a wonderful day, filled with little personal touches (my personal favourite being the lego figurine wedding favours!) and I was very happy to be a part of it!

11/03/14

The Greg Bish Blueprint were very happy to be invited to perform at the Sheffield Children's Hospital Staff Awards 2014 Function on Friday night. The event had a wonderful atmosphere and was a real celebration of all things Sheffield! The evening was all about celebrating the Sheffield Children's Hospital staff, who were awarded for their innovative and very important work with children. Awards were handed out by Sheffield skeleton bobsleigh superstar Shelley Rudman - a former skeleton world champion - and everyone in attendance danced into the small hours with entertainment from Sheffield based band The Greg Bish Blueprint! What a great night!
