Wedding Information

Song Choice

A ‘band song list’ is available, which details all the music that the function band would usually draw material from to create a set for your wedding day. This list is a guide and we are happy to take specific song requests (as long as these are provided in ample time before the event!). If you would like the band to perform your first dance song live we are happy to arrange and perform any song that you wish for this.

We can also offer you classical guitar and a classical soprano as musical services for the wedding ceremony itself. If you choose to have one of these performers for your ceremony the music which you walk down the aisle to and the music for the signing of the register will be your choice (although suggestions can be offered if you desire).

Booking Information

It is advisable to book the entertainment for your wedding as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. We do tend to book pub and club gigs up to a year in advance and although we may be able to cancel these types of bookings for you we would need to have a reasonable amount of notice to offer the venue. Please note that we would not be able to cancel other weddings or functions once a deposit has been paid for them.

The Deposit & Wedding Contract

If you decide to book your wedding entertainment with us we would normally ask for a small deposit (20% of the total fee) to allow us to take the date off the market for you. At the same time we will provide you with a Wedding Contract, which outlines all of the details that we have agreed for the day; including the price, the times that the performers will be expected to arrive and perform and any of the specific musical services offered. The other side of the contract is to give you reassurance of what would happen if a member of the band suddenly became ill on the day of your wedding (not that this has ever happened yet!) but in the unlikely event that this does occur it is best to agree your preferred backup plan for the day.

As a guide the band would usually require approximately 3m x 2m to perform in, although we have performed in smaller spaces than this before.

Insurance

The Greg Bish Blueprint have full Public Liability Insurance (up to £10,000,000) and all of our equipment is regularly PAT Tested. Certificates can be provided for your wedding venue if necessary.

Wedding Price List

It is always difficult to give an exact quote for a wedding without knowing all of the details of the day. The venue ‘changeover time’ (the time allocated for a band to set up on the day) can vary between the afternoon and evening, which can effect the price as obviously the band would need to spend many more hours at the venue from one scenario to another.

Other pricing changes are generally down to the personal tastes of the bride and groom; for example whether to have the music between the band sets as an ipod playlist or as a more professional DJ set, whether to have the first dance performed by the band or on CD, we can even offer a professionally recorded version of the band performing your chosen first dance song for you to keep forever if you wish.

In general, we try to offer a complete range of prices to cater for people looking for a small amount of live music to make their day more unique and for those who are looking for a more personal and exclusive package for their special day. We also try to offer packages which provide music for your entire day at a special rate (so that you don’t have to pay over the odds to hire in additional musicians to play for your ceremony, etc).

Below are some rough guidelines for the function band prices but please bear in mind that any package could be tailored to suit your exact requirements.

Wedding Package 1 (£380ish)

This Wedding Package is perfect for those who would love to have an aspect of live entertainment at their wedding but do not wish to pay for the full band.

Music will begin after the wedding breakfast and run until approximately 12:00.

An acoustic duo (usually vocals with guitar and upright bass) will provide music directly after your wedding breakfast (generally starting with some softer repertoire and building to some livelier numbers); we will normally expect to provide about an hour of live music, which will be followed by a DJ set for the rest of the evening.

We will provide all equipment and bring a full light rig (including smoke and bubble machines if you wish!).

The First Dance will be to CD backing (preferably provided by the bride and groom before the event). This package could contain any of the services from Options A, B & C below and could also include a live first dance song and first dance recording.

Wedding Package 2 (£560ish)

This package includes the full band instead of DJ services but is only possible if there is a relatively late changeover time.

Music will begin from approximately 8:00 until 12:00 with the band providing two 45 minute sets at times best suited to you.

We will provide all equipment and bring a full light rig (including smoke and bubble machines if you wish!).

Music between the band sets will be provided by a pre prepared ‘ipod playlist’ (we are happy to take song suggestions and any recommendations about the style of music you wish to be played at this time).

The First Dance will be to CD/Ipod backing (preferably provided by the bride and groom before the event). This package could contain any of the services from Options A, B, & C below and could also include a live first dance song and first dance recording. Also, DJ sets could be included instead of the ipod playlists.

Wedding Package 3 (£720ish)

This wedding package includes everything from Wedding Package 2 but takes into account the afternoon ‘changeover time’ (for the band to set up). The advantages of this package are outlined below:

Two separate one hour band sets will be provided, at times best suited for you.

The ipod playlist will begin as soon as the Wedding Breakfast has finished

Entertainment can run until 1:00am.

A Wireless microphone can be provided for speeches (if you wish!). This package could contain any of the services from Options A, B, & C below and could also include a live first dance song and first dance recording. Also, DJ sets could be included instead of the ipod playlists.

Wedding Package 4 - The Works! (£920ish)

This will include everything from Wedding package 3 with the following benefits:

Three 45 minute band sets will be provided.

Music between band sets will be provided on professional DJ equipment.

The First Dance will be performed by the band.

A professional CD recording of the first dance song (as performed by the function band) will be given to the bride and groom. This package could contain any of the services from Options A, B, & C below.

A Comprehensive guide of all the musical services on offer

It is not possible to publish the exact prices of these services on this information pack because certain combinations of musical services would work out cheaper than others (for example if you chose to have the same musician to perform for your wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast) but please enquire and we will provide you with a more accurate price guide.

A classical female soprano singer to add a touch of magic to your wedding service; the price will include the music for walking down the aisle, signing of the register and background music as you enter and leave the church/venue.

Option B: Post (or Pre) Wedding Drinks

Classical Guitar (£50 per hour)

Classical and Spanish guitar repertoire with a few renditions of popular songs.

Light Jazz Piano (£50 per hour)

Popular, Classical & Jazz piano providing a relaxing accompaniment to your drinks.

Classical Soprano(from £50 per hour)

A classical female soprano singer to add a touch of magic to your drinks.

Acoustic/Folk Finger-style Guitar (£50 per hour)

Add a unique flavour to your drinks with mesmerising steel string guitar playing.

Acoustic Solo (£50 per hour)

Acoustic Duo (£100 per hour)

With a repertoire of popular acoustic classics and love songs the acoustic solo or duo can provide a lovely atmosphere for celebratory drinks. The solo includes acoustic guitar and vocals whereas the duo incorporates an acoustic guitar and upright acoustic bass with vocal duo (Please note that this ensemble will usually require a small degree of amplification, which is provided).

Option C: The Wedding Breakfast

Jazz Band (£150 per hour)

Our pianist takes the lead for this ensemble as we provide instrumental jazz standards to accompany your wedding breakfast. For those who really love their jazz it is possible for us to call in a male big band singer or female jazz vocalist to really make this ensemble come to life!

Option D: The Evening Party

The Greg Bish Function Band

A perfect party atmosphere for the evening celebrations The band will provide all equipment and lighting effects For those really keen on the hits of ABBA, The Supremes, The Carpenters, Alphabeat, etc we can hire in an additional female vocalist to add a greater degree of versatility to our set.

DJ Services

For a lively evening you could choose to hire our DJ in combination with any of the wedding services on offer in options A, B, C or D. Alternatively, DJ sets can create a very professional service in-between band or duo sets. You are more than welcome to suggest the type of music that you would like to be played from our DJ and he will build a playlist around your recommendations.

Ipod Playlists

Although not really suitable as a wedding option on its own you may choose to have the music between band or duo sets played through on an ipod. The playlists would be created in advance (and you are free to suggest songs that you would like played) and this can provide a cheaper alternative to having DJ sets between band or duo sets.

Complete Jazz Band

For those who prefer their evenings with a little swing you could consider dancing the night away to Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin, Jamie Cullum, Michael Buble and many other modern and classic crooners - all sung by our versatile female vocalist Rosie. This package works particularly well in combination with sets from our resident DJ.

Acoustic Duo

For a more relaxed feeling to your evening celebrations why not hire the acoustic duo to perform after your wedding breakfast, and then let the DJ liven things up later on. This duo performs using an acoustic guitar and upright acoustic bass with vocal duets.

Acoustic Solo

For a more relaxed feeling to your evening celebrations why not hire Greg to perform acoustic or more upbeat electric solo sets, and then let the DJ liven things up later on. This option includes Greg performing using both acoustic and electric guitars and vocals.

Live First Dance Song (£50 set fee)

What better way to enjoy your first dance together as man and wife than to have a special arrangement of your chosen first dance song performed by your chosen performers on your wedding day. If choosing this option a rough demo of the song will be sent to you before the wedding date to ensure that you are happy with the arrangement.

The First Dance CD (£100 set fee)

For that something extra special to help you remember your first dance forever we can provide a recording of your first dance song exactly as it is performed by the band (recorded in a professional studio).
